The extraction of the cut-edge line between unharvested and harvested area in paddy field

The objective of proposed algorithm is to develop the image processing algorithm

to detect the cut-edge line between harvested area and unharvested area using monochrome ccd camera

for auto-steering system of head-feeding combine harvester.

 

 

 

The head-feeding combine harvester used in our research is a VY50CLAM model.

The monochrome ccd camera is mounted to the cab head of the combine harvester.

Basically, this head-feeding combine harvests rice in counter clockwise.

therefore, at the view of drivers`s seat, unharvested crop is located at the left side.
