[DENSO] ORiN2(Open Resource interface for the Network 2)

What is a ORiN2?

ORiN2 is a middleware for Factory Automation, which is created based on the Software Interface Standard by the ORiN Forum.
ORiN2 provides two independent interfaces to access devices on the network.
There is one interface for the development of Applications & Case studies and one for connecting to different devices. The Applications & Case studies Program Interface (API) provides a common object model for all kinds of devices. Every device can be plugged into ORiN by creating an according provider. This separation of concerns allows to develop Applications & Case studies and device providers independently. Furthermore ORiN2 provides protocols to connect to the Internet.

 제조업용 로봇 미들웨어인 덴소 ORiN 2 입니다. 메이커와 기종의 차이에도 불구하고 규격화된 인터페이스로 통일된 엑서스와 데이터 표현을 PC의 어플리케이션에 제공하는 개방적인 통신 인터페이스 입니다.
 국제 표준을 타깃으로 NEDO 프로젝트에 의해 3년간 지원받아 개발했고, 2005년 ORiN 2를 개발해 덴소의 생산 공정에 직접 적용해 신뢰성을 높인 후 3년 후인 2007년 부터 일본 시장에 판매하기 시작했습니다.

ORiN2 는 통일된 엑세스 방법과 데이터 표현을 제공하고,  공장 내의 모든 기기에 적용 가능하면서 일관되고 통일된 인터페이스를 구성하여 작업의 속도를 향상시킬 수 있는 장점이 있습니다. 또한 XML 데이터를 삽입하면 타 시스템과도 제휴가 가능하여 확장성이 매우 뛰어납니다.

최근에 NT리서치에서 한국에 정식으로 제품을 소개 했는데, 앞으로 많은 기대가 되는 제품 입니다.
