The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever and ever in the next.




하느님 바꿀수 없는 일들을 받아들이는 평온을 주옵소서
바꿀 수 있는 것은 변화시키는 용기를,
그 둘을 구별할 수 있는 지혜를 주옵소서

하루 하루 살게 하시고 순간 순간 누리게 하옵시며
고난을 평화에 이르는 길로 받아들이게 하시고
죄로  물든 세상을 내 마음대로가 아니라
예수님처럼 있는 그대로 받아들이게 하옵시고
당신께서 모든 것을 바로 세우실 것을 믿게 하셔서
이곳에 사는 동안 사리에 맞는 행복을
그리고 저곳에서 당신과 더불어 영원토록

온전한 행복을 누리게 하옵소서. 아멘
